Cookie Policy
Effective date: October 5, 2026.
This page lists every cookie Tembii sets on your device. We set no advertising or tracking cookies, so the list is intentionally short. We do measure how Tembii is used, without cookies; section 3 explains how. For anything beyond cookies — lesson uploads, account data, AI sub-processors — see our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser on your device. Websites use cookies to remember information between visits — for example, that you are signed in.
2. Cookies we set

Both cookies are first-party (set by Tembii itself), are not shared with advertisers, and are classified as strictly necessary under the EU ePrivacy Directive and UK PECR.
3. Analytics, and what we do not set
We do not run advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking, and we set no analytics cookies.
We measure how Tembii is used with PostHog, a product analytics service. Instead of cookies, your browser’s local storage holds these items:

The first two hold no name, email or other personal details. When you visit our public pages we record the page and the referring website’s address (its domain only, never the full link). Pupils playing a shared game are recorded only under a random ID and are never linked to a person. See the Privacy Policy for what PostHog receives once you have an account.
You can switch analytics off for this browser. While it is off, Tembii sends no analytics events from this browser and stores no referral record. Account events, such as signing up or saving a question bank, are recorded on our servers under the Privacy Policy and are not covered by this switch.
4. Opting out
Because the cookies above are strictly necessary to sign you in and to remember that you have already dismissed the cookie notice, the service will not work correctly without them. You can always clear them from your browser settings; on your next visit the cookie notice and sign-in prompt will return.
5. Changes
If we add cookies or change what we store on your device, we will update this page and refresh the effective date at the top.
