Copyright / DMCA Policy

Effective date: June 22, 2026.

Tembii respects the intellectual property of others and responds to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright and how we respond.

1. Teacher-uploaded content

Some content on Tembii is uploaded by teachers (for example, images attached to questions). When you upload content you confirm that you own it or have the right to use it. You are responsible for the content you upload, and Tembii does not pre-screen it.

2. Reporting alleged infringement

If you believe content on Tembii infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our designated agent (below). To be effective, your notice must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it (for example, a link to the game or question).
  • Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email).
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

3. Designated agent

Send copyright notices to our designated agent:
Jonathan Hicks (operator of Tembii) — by email at dmca@tembii.com with the subject line “DMCA Notice”.

4. Our response

When we receive a valid notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the material (typically within a few business days) and make a reasonable effort to notify the user who provided it so they may respond.

5. Counter-notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to the designated agent above. Include your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, your contact information, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error. If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant pursues a court order.

6. Repeat infringers

Tembii will, in appropriate circumstances, suspend or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
